- Wyre: The byelection in Park ward was won by Alice Jones. Reform UK gain from Labour.
Defections
- Amber Valley: Steven Bower, who was elected for the Labour Party in Heanor West and Loscoe ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Dover: Three councillors elected for the Labour Party have left to form an Independent Group. They are Stacey Blair (Middle Deal ward), Jamie Pout (Aylesham, Eythorne and Sheperdswell ward), and Charlotte Zosseder (Buckland ward).
- Flintshire: Roz Mansell, who was elected as an Independent councillor in Connah’s Quay Wepre ward and had been in the Eagle group, has joined the True Independents.
- Havant: Paul Gray, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Hayling West ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Newcastle upon Tyne: Jane Byrne, who was elected for the Labour Party in Monument ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Norfolk: Simon Ring, an Independent councillor for Freebridge Lynn division, has left the Liberal Democrat Alliance group to sit in the Independent group.
- Portsmouth: Rajah Ghosh, who was elected for the Labour Party in Charles Dickens ward but had been outside the group since September last year, has been readmitted.
- Slough: The Slough Independent Group, formed by seven councillors elected for the Labour Party who seceded in June last year, have now all joined the Liberal Democrats. They are Sabia Akram and Waqas Sabah (both Farnham ward), Mohammed Nazir and Jamila Sabah (both Manor Park and Stoke ward), Zaffar Ajaib (Herschel Park ward, Haqeeq Dar (Upton Lea ward) and Naveeda Qaseem (Langley Foxborough ward).
- South Ayrshire: Bob Pollock, who was elected for the Conservatives in Troon ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Stevenage: Connor McGrath, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bedwell ward, has left the group to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Wakefield: Stan Bates, who was elected for the Labour Party in South Elmsall and South Kirkby ward, has left the party to sit as an ungrouped councillor.
