Morecambe Bay Independents 10, Independent 5, Eco-Socialist Independents 4. Lancaster is a university city, while the district also includes Morecambe Bay and the ferry port of Heysham.
Harbour has a vacant seat (held by Labour). The Green Party gained Ellel from the Conservatives on 19 May. Jake Goodwin (Westgate) returned to the Morecambe Bay Independent group in January 2022. The Liberal Democrats gained Bare ward and Upper Lune Valley ward from the Conservatives at byelections on 2 December. Labour regained Carnforth and Millhead on 25 November.
