Andrew Jarvie (Wick and East Caithness) moved from Highland Alliance to form a Reform UK group in October 2026. The Liberal Democrat gained a seat from an Independent in Wick and East Caithness at a byelection on 1 October. John Grafton (Caol and Mallaig) moved from Liberal Democrat to non-aligned, Chris Birt (Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh) moved from Scottish National Party to non-aligned, and Sean Kennedy (Dingwall and Seaforth) moved from Highland Independent to non-aligned, in July 2026.
