Argoed and New Brighton and Connah’s Quay Central have byelections on 9 July (held by the Liberal Democrats and True Independents respectively). David Richardson (Connah’s Quay Golftyn) moved from non-aligned to Reform UK, and Helen Brown (Hawarden Aston) and Ian Lodge (Holywell East) moved from Independent to Reform UK, in April 2026. Fran Lister (Brynford and Halkyn) moved from Labour to Liberal Democrat in February 2026. Reform UK gained Leeswood from Labour at a byelection on 22 January.
