Plaid Cymru held Trebanos at a byelection on 9 July. Oliver Davies (Sandfields East), Leanne Jones (Resolven and Tonna) and Dave Whitelock (Bryn and Cwmavon) moved from Labour to unaffiliated Independent in June 2026. Rhidian Mizen (Bryn and Cwmavon) moved from Labour to unaffiliated Independent in May 2026.
