Farnley and Wortley has a byelection on 10 October (held by Labour). The Local Independent Party was formed in May 2024 by Wyn Kidger (Morley South) who left Morley Borough Independents in March, Bob Gettings (Morley North) from Morley Borough Independents, and Trish Smith (Pudsey) from the Conservatives.
