Belper Independents 2, Independent 2. North of Derby, including Belper, Heanor, Alfreton and Ripley. Previously mining and still with some engineering but increasingly becoming commuter areas for Derby and Nottingham.

Somercotes has a byelection on 5 June (held by Labour). Steven Bower (Heanor West and Loscoe) moved from Labour to Independent in May 2025. At byelections on 1 May, an Independent gained a seat in Ironville and Riddings, and the Conservatives gained a seat in Kilburn, Denby, Holbrook and Horsley ward, both from Labour.
