The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Result
- Pembrokeshire: The byelection in Milford Hakin ward held on 18 March was won by Scott Thorley. Reform UK gain a seat previously held by an Independent councillor.
Defections
- Argyll and Bute: Luna Martin, who was elected for the Scottish Green Party in Oban North and Lorn ward, has joined the Scottish National Party. Meanwhile Amanda Hampsey, who was elected for the Conservatives in Oban South and the Isles ward, has joined Reform UK.
- Buckinghamshire: Dean Field, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Wendover, Halton and Stoke Mandeville ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Ealing: Kate Crawford, who was elected for the Labour Party in East Acton ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Epsom and Ewell: James Lawrence, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in College ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Halton: Two councillors elected for the Labour Party have left to sit as Independents. They are Chris Loftus (Halton Castle ward) and Kath Loftus (Halton Lea ward).
- Hertsmere: Alexander Clarkson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Borehamwood Hillside ward but was suspended from the group in December, has now returned.
- Kent: Amelia Randall, who was elected for Reform UK in Birchington and Rural division but joined the UK Independence Party in September last year, has now formed her own party called ‘Better Way of’.
- Luton: Adrees Latif, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Wigmore ward but suspended from the party whip in January, has now returned to the party group.
- Norfolk: Sharon Blundell, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Costessey division, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned county councillor. Meanwhile the suspension from the Conservative group of Bill Borrett (Elmham and Mattishall division) has ended and he has returned to it.
- St Albans: Dason Canning, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Harpenden East ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Sandwell: William Gill, who was elected for the Conservatives in Great Bridge ward but left the party in October, has now joined the Green Party.
- South Norfolk: Sharon Blundell, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Old Costessey ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Thurrock: Tom Kelly, who was elected for the Conservatives in Little Thurrock Rectory ward, has joined Reform UK.
- Wakefield: Shabaan Ali Saleem, who was elected for the Labour Party in Wakefield South ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
