Independent 1. Much regenerated town on the southern side of the River Tyne, including the Baltic Centre. The borough also includes Blaydon ((home of the Blaydon races), and Felling (a key location in the Poulson corruption scandal).
Whickham North has a byelection on 24 October (held by the Liberal Democrats). Jane McCoid (Lamesley) moved from Labour to Independent in September 2024. Labour held Bridges at a byelection on 12 September.
