The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Adur: The byelection in Buckingham ward held on 19 June was won by Kate Davis. Labour hold.
- Highland: The byelection in Cromarty Firth ward held on 19 June was won by Richard Cross, who was an Independent candidate and may be likely to join the same Highland Alliance group as his predecessor.
- Highland: The byelection in Eilean a’ Cheò ward held on 19 June was won by Christine Gillies, who was an Independent candidate.
- City of London: Alison Gowman was re-elected as Alderman for Dowgate ward, unopposed, at the wardmote on 18 June.
- City of London: The election of Alderman for Vintry ward held on 19 June was won by the incumbent, Sir Andrew Parmley.
- North Yorkshire: The byelection in Eastfield ward held on 19 June, was won by Tom Seston. Reform UK gain from Social Justice Party.
- Sefton: The byelection in Blundellsands ward held on 19 June, was won by David Roscoe. Labour regain a seat lost when the previous councillor left the party.
- Spelthorne: The byelection in Ashford Town ward held on 19 June was won by Gregory Neall. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Defections
- Basildon: Ben Westwick, who was elected for the Labour Party in Pitsea South East ward, has had the Labour whip withdrawn over social media comments, and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Cheshire West and Chester: Two councillors from the Labour group have left the party, removing the overall majority. They are Jimmy Shannon (Whitby Groves ward) and Elizabeth MacGlashan (Great Boughton ward).
- Edinburgh: Cammy Day, who was elected for the Labour Party in Forth ward but suspended from the group in December, has now been reinstated.
- Gateshead: Robert Waugh, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bridges ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Lancaster: Chris Harris, who was elected for the Labour Party in Westgate ward, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned Independent councillor.
- Leeds: Abigail Marshall Katung, who was elected for the Labour Party in Little London and Woodhouse ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Peterborough: Mark Ormston, who was elected as a Peterborough First Independent in Eye, Thorney and Newborough ward, has left the Peterborough First group to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Wakefield: Nick Farmer, who was elected for the Conservatives in Ossett ward, has joined Reform UK. Meanwhile Kevin Swift, who was elected for the Labour Party in Wakefield West ward, has left the party to sit as an ungrouped councillor.
- West Oxfordshire: Adam Clements, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Milton under Wychwood ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
New vacancies
- Cardiff: Llanrumney division, after the resignation of former Labour council leader Heather Joyce. Term ends 2027.
- Cheshire East: Wilmslow Lacey Green ward, after the death of Residents of Wilmslow councillor Chris Hilliard. Term ends 2027.
- Dacorum: Berkhamsted West ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Robert Stewart. Term ends 2027.
- Warrington: Bewsey and Whitecross ward, after the impending resignation of Labour councillor Shireen Mohammed who is to take up a job with the council. Term ends 2028.

- Cardiff: The byelection due in Llanrumney division will be held on 24 July.
