The 'square mile' (actually slightly over that) of the financial district in central London. One of the oldest institutions of government (older than Parliament). Until 2014 it had been entirely non-partisan.
The 2021 election has been postponed to March 2022. There are vacancies on the Common Council in Aldersgate, Aldgate (two seats) and Farringdon Within wards, and for Alderman in Cordwainer ward.
