Independent Spelthorne Group 5 (the two Green Party councillors are also in this group). Was part of Middlesex until 1965 when transferred to Surrey. Includes Sunbury, Shepperton, Stanwell and Ashford.
Staines has a byelection on 16 October (held by the Green Party). The Liberal Democrats gained a seat in Ashford Town from the Conservatives at a byelection on 19 June. Commissioners have been appointed to guide the council.
