The Green Party gained a seat in Macclesfield Central from an Independent elected as Labour, at a byelection on 20 November. Becky Posnett (Bunbury) moved from Conservative to non-aligned in October 2025. The Conservatives gained a seat in Wilmslow Lacey Green from the Residents of Wilmslow group, at a byelection on 11 September.
