At byelections on 21 November, Labour gained Bennetts End from an Independent and the Conservatives gained Hemel Hempstead Town from the Liberal Democrats. Eight women Liberal Democrat councillors moved to Independent in September 2024. Ron Tindall (Adeyfield West) has been suspended from the Liberal Democrats since July 2024.
