Results

• Eastleigh: The byelection in Eastleigh Central ward held on 10 February was won by Bhavin Dedhia. Liberal Democrat hold.
• Somerset West and Taunton: The byelection in Alcombe ward held on 10 February was won by Nicole Hawkins. Liberal Democrat gain from an Independent.
• Wealden: The byelection in Hailsham South ward held on 10 February was won by Anne Blake-Coggins. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.

Changes of allegiance

• Allerdale: Carmel Bell, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Crummock and Derwent Valley ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
• Carlisle: Paul Nedved, who was elected for the Conservatives in Stanwix and Houghton ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
• Dundee: Alan Ross, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Lochee ward but left the party in May, has now joined the Alba Party.
• Newham: Patrick Murphy, who was elected for the Labour Party in Royal Docks ward, has left the party in protest at the reselection of Rokhsana Fiaz as Mayoral candidate.
• North Yorkshire: Caroline Goodrick, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Hovingham and Sheriff Hutton division, has left the party to sit as an Independent unaffiliated county councillor.
• Powys: Hywel Lewis, who was elected as an Independent in Llangunllo division, has left the Independent group to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
• Ryedale: Caroline Goodrick, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Ryedale South West ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent ungrouped councillor.
• Shropshire: Andy Boddington, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Ludlow North division, has left the party to sit as a non-affiliated Independent member.
• Somerset: Mark Keating, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Coker division, has left the party to sit as an Independent county councillor.

• Barrow-in-Furness: Dalton South ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Shaun Blezard. Term ends 2023.
• Doncaster: Wheatley Hills and Intake ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Daniel Barwell, who is currently remanded in custody without bail on an extradition warrant. Term ends 2025.
• Dorset: Lyme and Charmouth ward, after the impending resignation of Conservative councillor Daryl Turner. Term ends 2023.
• Dudley: Halesowen South ward, after the death of Conservative councillor David Vickers who was deputy leader of the council. Term ends 2024.
• Hartlepool: Rural West ward, after the death of Conservative councillor and Mayor Brenda Loynes. Term ends 2025.
• Lambeth: Clapham Town ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Christopher Wellbelove. His term would have ended in May so a byelection will not follow.
• Melton: Melton Sysonby ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Tejpal Bains. Term ends 2023.

• Scarborough: Mayfield ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor David Chance. Term ends 2023.
• Sevenoaks: Fawkham and West Kingsdown ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Faye Parkin. Term ends 2023.
• South Tyneside: Harton ward, after the death of Labour councillor Rob Dix. Term ends 2023.
• Test Valley: North Baddesley ward, after the impending resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Simon Cross. Term ends 2023.
• Thanet: Nethercourt ward, after the disqualification of Labour councillor Liz Green, who failed to attend any meetings in six months. Term ends 2023.
