Newham Independents 3, Independent 1. East London, named as a compromise between East Ham and West Ham. Includes a large area of dockland redevelopment and the Beckton area, as well as the Olympic park. Long-serving Mayor Sir Robin Wales was succeeded by Rokhsana Fiaz in 2018.

Labour held seats in Beckton and Little Ilford wards on 18 July, and in Forest Gate North and Maryland on 4 July. Areeq Chowdhury (Canning Town North) moved from Labour to Green Party in July 2024.
