The Conservatives held Halstead, Knockholt and Badgers Mount ward at a byelection on 26 March, and gained Hextable from an Independent at a byelection on 5 March. Laurence Ball (Farningham, Horton Kirby and South Darenth) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in January 2026; James Barnett (Cowden and Hever) did so in December 2025.
