The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
East Devon: The byelection in Feniton ward held on 8 July was won by Alasdair Bruce. Conservative gain from Independent.
East Devon: The byelection in Honiton St Michael’s ward held on 8 July was won by Jake Bonetta. Labour gain from Liberal Democrat.
East Suffolk: The byelection for two seats in Aldeburgh and Leiston ward held on 8 July was won by Tom Daly and Russ Rainger. The Green Party (Tom Daly) gain one seat from the Conservatives, while the Conservatives (Russ Rainger) hold the other.
Harlow: The byelection in Mark Hall ward held on 8 July was won by John Steer. Conservative gain from Labour.
Huntingdonshire: The byelection in St Neots East ward held on 8 July was won by Ben Pitt. Independent gain from Labour.
Mid Sussex: The byelection in Ardingly and Balcombe ward held on 8 July was won by Jenny Edwards. Green Party gain from Conservative.
Changes of allegiance
Blackpool: Simon Blackburn, who was elected for Labour in Brunswick ward and was the council leader, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned Independent councillor.
Darlington: Sajna Ali, who was elected for Labour in Northgate ward and whose defection to the Conservatives was announced last Friday, has had second thoughts and is remaining in the Labour Party.
East Suffolk: Orwell and Villages ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Melissa Allen. Term ends 2023.
Malvern Hills: Tenbury ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Tony Penn. Term end 2023.
Medway: Princes Park ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Tashi Bhutia. Term ends 2023.
Middlesbrough: Ladgate ward, after the death of Middlesbrough Independent Group councillor June Goodchild, who was elected for the Labour Party. Term ends 2023.
