Results
- Carmarthenshire: The byelection in Lliedi ward held on 29 May was won by Michelle Beer. Reform UK gain from an Independent elected as Labour.
- Castle Point: The byelection in Canvey Island Winter Gardens ward held on 29 May was won by Reece Langley. Reform UK gain from Canvey Island Independent Party.
- Lewes: The byelection in Newhaven North ward held on 29 May was won by Corina Watts. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Maldon: The byelection in Maldon West ward held on 29 May was won by Sarah Dodsley. Liberal Democrat gain from Maldon District Independent Group.
Defections
- Cumberland: Bob Kelly, who was elected for the Labour Party in Millom ward, has left the group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Doncaster: Mark Broadhurst, who was elected for Reform UK in Hatfield ward, has left the party over social media posts.
- Dumfries and Galloway: Andrew Wood, who was elected for the Conservatives in Mid and Upper Nithsdale ward, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
- Durham: Michael Ramage, who was elected for Reform UK in Shildon and Dene Valley division, has left the party group.
- Flintshire: Mike Peers, an Independent councillor for Buckley Pentrobin ward, has moved from the (administration) Independent Group to the (opposition) True Independents group.
- Halton: Sian Davidson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Daresbury, Moore and Sandymoor ward, has joined Reform UK.
- Hounslow: Ranjit Gill, who was elected for the Conservatives in Chiswick Gunnersbury ward, has joined the Labour Party.
- Newham: Lewis Godfrey, who was elected for the Labour Party in Green Street West ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Rochford: A new ‘Associated Independents’ group has been formed by three previous Liberal Democrat councillors Richard Linden (Wheatley ward), Sarah Jane Page (Trinity ward), and Bob Milne (Lodge ward) together with Milne’s Independent ward colleague Richard Lambourne. A further new group, Rochford and Foulness Wakering Independents, has been formed by three previously non-aligned councillors. Finally Vilma Wilson (Sweyne Park and Grange ward) has moved from Liberal Democrat to Rochford District Residents group.
- Worthing: Luke Houghton, who was elected for the Conservatives in Heene ward, has joined Reform UK.

- Bath and North East Somerset: Mendip ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor David Wood. Term ends 2027.
- Carmarthenshire: Llangennech ward, after the death of Labour councillor Gary Jones. Term ends 2027.
- Dartford: Maypole and Leyton Cross ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Kyle Stealey. Term ends 2027.
- Dartford: Stone House ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Tom Oliver. Term ends 2027.
- Hartlepool: Throston ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Steve Wallace, who was elected for the Labour Party. Term ends 2027.
- Surrey: Woking South division, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat county councillor Will Forster, now Member of Parliament for Woking. Term ends 2026.
- Woking: Hoe Valley ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Will Forster, now Member of Parliament for Woking. Term ends 2028.
