The scheduled 2025 elections have been postponed to 2026, and the Secretary of State intends to legislate to postpone for a further year. Patti Mulcahy (Martlesham) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in January 2026. Reform UK gained Pakefield from the Conservatives at a byelection on 18 December. Heike Sowa (Haverhill Cangle) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in October 2025. Sam Murray (Whitehouse and Whitton) moved from Conservative to Independent in October 2025. Philip Faircloth-Mutton (Sudbury East and Waldingfield) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in September 2025; David Nettleton (Tower) moved from Conservative to Independent.
