The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Basildon: The byelection in Nethermayne ward held on 20 July was won by Mo Larkin, a former Mayor who returns to the council seven years after standing down. Independent hold.
Lancaster: The byelection in Harbour ward held on 21 July was won by Margaret Pattison. Labour hold.
North Warwickshire: The byelection in Hartshill ward held on 21 July was won by Marli Parker. Conservative hold.
South Staffordshire: The byelection in Penkridge North East and Acton Trussell ward held on 21 July was won by Andrew Adams. Conservative hold.

Barrow-in-Furness: Sam Ronson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Dalton North ward, has joined the Labour Party.
Bath and North East Somerset: Dr Kumar, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Bathwick ward but left the party in January, has now joined the Conservatives.
Blaby: The husband and wife pair of David Freer (Croft Hill ward) and Deanne Freer (Stanton and Flamville ward), who were elected for the Conservatives, have left the party to sit as Independent councillors.
Peterborough: Heather Skibsted, who was elected for the Labour Party in Orton Longueville ward, has joined the Green Party.
South Kesteven: Louise Clack, who was elected for the Labour Party in Grantham Earlesfield ward, has left the political group but intends to be an unaligned Labour councillor.

Argyll and Bute: Kintyre and the Islands ward, after the death of Independent councillor John McAlpine. Term ends 2027.
Arun: Barnham ward, after the death of Conservative councillor John Charles. Term ends 2023.
Coventry: Sherbourne ward, after the death of Labour councillor Seamus Walsh. Term ends 2026.
East Lindsey: Mablethorpe ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Claire Arnold. Term ends 2023.
Redditch: Headless Cross and Oakenshaw ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Aled Evans. Term ends 2024.
Rhondda Cynon Taf: Ynysybwl ward, after the death of Plaid Cymru councillor Tony Burnell. Term ends 2027.
Sefton: Linacre ward, after the death of Labour councillor Gordon Friel. Term ends 2026.
West Sussex: Felpham division, after the death of Conservative councillor John Charles. Term ends 2025.

Liverpool: The council has voted on Wednesday to end the directly-elected mayor system and return to a Leader and Cabinet in 2023.
Stroud: A new leadership of the council has been elected, with a Green Party leader and Labour deputy leader.
