Independent 5. Curls round the west of Wolverhampton and Dudley, including wealthy 'white flight' villages (Wombourne, Codsall) as well as smaller towns (Penkridge).
The government proposes to merge the council with Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Stafford and Tamworth, to create a unitary Southern and Mid Staffordshire council in 2027. Wombourne North has a vacant seat (held by the Conservatives). The Conservatives held Himley and Swindon at a byelection on 16 July.
