Liverpool Community Independents 8, Liberal Party 4, Independent allied with the Liberal Party 1, Independent 1. Seaport on the Mersey in the north-west; suffered deprivation, riots and political extremist infiltration in the 1980s but has since undergone much regeneration. Development along the shore cost it World Heritage Site status in 2021. Adopted a directly-elected Mayor in 2012, currently Joanne Anderson.

Fazakerley has a vacant seat (held by Labour). Alan Tormey (Childwall) moved from Liberal Democrat to Liberal Party in April 2022. The Liverpool Community Independents were formed by eight former Labour councillors in April 2022. Labour held Everton and Warbreck at byelections on 7 April. Commissioners are assisting in running the council. The council will move to all-out elections from 2023. George Knibb (Norris Green) moved from Labour to Independent in March 2022.
