The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Warwick: The byelection in Lillington ward held on 29 October was won by Daniel Russell. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Windsor and Maidenhead: The byelection in Riverside ward held on 30 October was won by Greg Jones. Conservative hold.
- Worcestershire: The byelection in Bromsgrove South division held on 31 October was won by Kyle Daisley. Conservative gain from Labour.
Changes of allegiance
- Babergh: Two councillors have left the Conservative group to sit as Independents. They are Sue Ayres (Sudbury South West ward) and Margaret Maybury (Lavenham ward).
- Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole: Two members of Poole People have left the group to sit as Independent councillors. They are Julie Bagwell and Daniel Butt who both represent Hamworthy ward; Bagwell has indicated she will continue to support the ruling multi-party coalition.
- Denbighshire: Geraint Lloyd-Williams, who was elected for the Labour Party in Denbigh Upper / Henllan division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- East Northamptonshire: Lance Jones, who was elected for the Conservatives in Raunds Saxon ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Glasgow: Anne McTaggart, who was elected for the Labour Party in Drumchapel/Anniesland ward, has joined the Scottish National Party.
- Lancashire: Mark Perks, who was elected for the Conservatives in Clayton with Whittle division, has left the party to sit as an Independent county councillor.
- Powys: A new ‘Action for Powys’ (‘Action for Council Tax in Our Neighbourhoods’) group has been formed by three councillors from the Independent Group: Jeremy Pugh (Builth division), Martin Weale (Llanbadarn Fawr division) and Ange Williams (Knighton division).
- Redditch: Roger Bennett, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Headless Cross and Oakenshaw ward, has been suspended from the party for six months over social media posts.
- St Helens: Pam Howard, who was elected for Labour in Earlestown ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Somerset: Neil Bloomfield, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Martock division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- South Somerset: The councillors for Martock ward, Neil Bloomfield and Louise Clarke, both of whom were elected for the Liberal Democrats, have left the party to sit as Independent councillors.
- Winchester: Victoria Weston, who was elected for the Conservatives in Central Meon Valley ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Wolverhampton: Payal Bedi-Chadha, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bilston East ward, has joined the Conservative Party.

- Bristol: Brislington East ward, after the death of Labour councillor Mike Langley. Term ends May next year.
- Dumfries and Galloway: Mid Galloway and Wigtown West ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Graham Nicol. Term ends 2022.
- East Northamptonshire: Higham Ferrers Chichele ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Anna Sauntson. Term ends May next year.
- East Northamptonshire: Higham Ferrers Lancaster ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Pam Whiting. Term ends May next year.
- Exeter: Topsham ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Catherine Pierce. Term ends 2022.
- Islington: St George’s ward, after the impending resignation of Labour councillor Kat Fletcher. Term ends 2022.
- Kettering: Desborough St Giles ward, after the death of Conservative councillor David Soans. Term ends May next year.
- North Lincolnshire: Ashby ward, after the death of Labour councillor John Collinson. Term ends 2023.
- Tameside: Denton West ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Dawson Lane. Term ends May next year.

- Rhondda Cynon Taff: The byelection due in Ynyshir division will be held on 5 December.
- West Lancashire: The byelection due in Birch Green ward will be held on 21 November.
