The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Cumbria: The byelection in Corby and Hayton division held on 26 August was won by Roger Dobson. Liberal Democrat gain from an Independent.
- Medway: The byelection in Princes Park ward held on 26 August was won by Robbie Lammas. Conservative hold.
- Medway: The byelection in Strood North ward held on 26 August was won by Zoe van Dyke. Labour gain from an Independent Conservative elected for the Conservative Party.
- Newport: The byelection in Graig division held on 26 August was won by John Jones. Conservative hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Aberdeenshire: Geva Blackett, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor. She is opposed to its coalition with the Scottish Green Party.
- Allerdale: Peter Little, who was elected as an Independent in Maryport South ward and had been a member of the Allerdale Independents group, has been removed from the group after receiving a suspended prison sentence. It is also noted that Will Wilkinson (St Michael’s ward) has left the group.
- Cumbria: Sol Wielkopolski, who was elected for the Conservatives in Newbarns and Parkside division but moved to be an Independent non-aligned councillor in July, has now returned to the Conservative whip.
- Isle of Wight: Geoff Brodie, Independent Labour councillor for Pan and Barton ward, has left the Alliance Group which forms the administration, although he continues to support the Leadership.
- Wandsworth: Hannah Stanislaus, who was elected for Labour in Bedford ward, has left the party citing bullying.
New vacancy
- East Staffordshire: Tutbury and Outwoods ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Garry Raybould. Term ends 2023.

- Broadland: The byelection due for two seats in Brundall ward will be held on Tuesday 28 September.
- Broadland: The byelection due in Old Catton and Sprowston West ward will be held on Tuesday 28 September.
- East Staffordshire: The byelection due in Tutbury and Outwoods ward will be held on 30 September.
- Eden: The byelection due in Penrith West ward will be held on 30 September.
- Waverley: The byelection due in Cranleigh East ward will be held on 7 October.
- West Suffolk: The byelection due in The Rows ward will be held on 30 September.
