The council will be replaced by a West Surrey unitary council in 2027. The Farnham Residents withdrew support from the administration in February 2026. Kika Mirylees (Farnham Firgrove) moved from Farnham Residents to unaffiliated Independent in February 2026. Tony Fairclough (Farnham Heath End) moved from Farnham Residents to Liberal Democrat in September 2025. Janet Crowe (Godalming Farncombe and Catteshall) moved from Labour to unaligned Independent in July 2025, to Liberal Democrat in November 2025.
