Don Waldron (The Rows) moved from Conservative to Reform UK in January 2026. Reform UK gained a seat in Newmarket East from Labour at a byelection on 11 September. Three councillors left the Independents to form ‘Spectrum’ in September 2025. Ian Houlder (Barrow) moved from non-aligned to Reform UK in November 2025.
