The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Leicestershire: The byelection in Narborough and Whetstone division held on 16 April was won by Dr Dee North. Reform UK hold.
Northumberland: The byelection in Cramlington South West division held on 16 April was won by Neil Graham. Conservative gain from Reform UK.

Basildon: Sarah-Jane Shields, who was elected for Reform UK in Wickford Park ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Bassetlaw: Two councillors who were elected for the Labour Party but left it in 2024 and 2025 have now joined Restore Britain. They are Deborah Merryweather (Worksop East ward) and Fraser Merryweather (Worksop North East ward).
Caerphilly: Brenda Miles, who was elected for the Labour Party in Nelson ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Camden: Sue Vincent, who was elected for the Labour Party in Holborn and Covent Garden ward, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
Chichester: Joseph Brookes-Harmer, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Lavant ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Flintshire: David Richardson, who was elected as an Independent councillor for Connah’s Quay Golftyn and had been non-aligned, has joined Reform UK.
King’s Lynn and West Norfolk: Francis Bone, who was elected for the Labour Party in St Margarets with St Nicholas ward, has left the party to join the Independent Partnership group on the council.
Warwickshire: Jan Matecki, who was elected for the Conservatives in Budbrooke and Bishop’s Tachbrook division, has been suspended from the party for three months after supporting a motion of no confidence in Reform UK council leader George Finch, against the group whip.

Cambridgeshire: Roman Bank and Peckover division, after the disqualification of Independent county councillor Andy Osborn who was convicted of making a false statement of fact about an election candidate. He was elected for Reform UK. Term ends 2029.
Dorset: St Leonards and St Ives ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Barry Goringe. Term ends 2029.
Flintshire: Argoed and New Brighton ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Hilary McGuill. Term ends 2027.
Harborough: Lutterworth East ward, after the death of Labour councillor David Gair. Term ends 2027. As a result the Conservatives have called an extraordinary meeting on Monday at which they will seek to take control of the council from the current Liberal Democrat/Labour/Green coalition.
Lancaster: Castle ward, after the resignation of Green Party councillor Izzy Metcalf-Riener. Term ends 2027.

Bury: The election due on 7 May in Moorside ward has been postponed following the death of Victor Hagan, who had been nominated as a candidate for Reform UK.
St Helens: The election due in 7 May in St Helens Town Centre ward has been postponed following the death of Andrew Feeney, who had been nominated as a candidate for Reform UK.
