Independent Group 6, non-aligned 2. The northernmost county of England, now a unitary authority; includes Hexham and Berwick, but most population is concentrated in the southern part (Morpeth, Blyth).

The Conservatives held Seghill with Seaton Delaval at a byelection on 24 March. Holly Waddell (Bywell) moved from Labour to non-aligned in March 2022. The Liberal Democrats gained Hexham East from the Conservatives on on 16 December.
