The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Cannock Chase: The byelection in Etching Hill and The Heath ward held on 5 January was won by Darren Foley. Labour gain from Conservative.
- Uttlesford: The byelection in Great Dunmow South and Barnston ward held on 5 January was won by Tom Loveday. Conservative gain from Residents for Uttlesford.
Changes of allegiance
- Bromley: Shaun Slator, who was elected for the Conservatives in St Mary Cray ward, has left the party group to sit as an Independent councillor. His move follows controversy over social media remarks.
- South Kesteven: A new Democratic Independents group has been formed by four Independent councillors: Anna Kelly (Bourne West ward), Paul Fellows (Bourne Austerby ward), Philip Knowles (Bourne East ward) and Richard Cleaver (Stamford All Saints ward). The group is also allied with the Liberal Democrats on the council.
- Stratford-on-Avon: John Feilding, who was elected for the Conservatives in Red Horse ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Thanet: David Wallin, who was elected for the Conservatives in Dane Valley ward, has left the party group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
New vacancies
- Cornwall: Long Rock, Marazion and St Erth division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Tara Sherfield-Wong. Term ends 2025.
- Dover: St Radigunds ward, after the death of Labour councillor John Haste. His term was due to end in May so no byelection ensues.
- Havant: Cowplain ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Narinder Bains. As her term would have ended in May, she will not be replaced in a byelection.
- Havant: Emsworth ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Julie Thain-Smith. Her term would have ended in May, so no byelection follows.
- South Cambridgeshire: Cottenham ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Dr John Loveluck. Term ends 2026.
- Suffolk: Felixstowe Coastal ward, after the death of Conservative county councillor Graham Newman. Term ends 2025.

- Cambridgeshire: The byelection due in St Neots The Eatons division will be held on 16 February.
- Cheltenham: The byelection due in Battledown ward will be held on 9 February.
- Denbighshire: The byelection due in Rhyl Ty Newydd division will be held on 9 February.
- Hertfordshire: The byelection due in Hitchin North division will be held on 9 February.
- North Yorkshire: The byelection due in Masham and Fountains division will be held on 9 February.
