The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Changes of allegiance

Ryedale: The Ryedale First Independents group has split, with three members forming the Independents for Ryedale group. They are Janet Frank (Dales ward, who is now deputy leader of the council), David Cussons (Kirkbymoorside ward), and Eric Hope (Sheriff Hutton ward).
Stoke-on-Trent: Candi Chetwynd, who was elected for the Labour Party in Ford Green and Smallthorne ward, has left the party after a disagreement with the group consequent on her move out of the City.
New vacancies
Derbyshire: Staveley division, after the disqualification of Labour councillor Helen Elliott who did not attend any council meetings in six months. There will be no byelection as her term was to have ended in May.
Mid Devon: Upper Culm ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Glanmor Hughes. Term ends 2023.
Newark and Sherwood: Bridge ward, after the resignation of Independent veteran councillor Gill Dawn. Term ends 2023.
Ryedale: The full council this week approved the new administration which will be led by a Liberal Party councillor and involve the Liberals and the Independents for Ryedale. The Conservatives and Independent Group have assented to the new leadership.
