The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Rother: The byelection in Brede and Udimore ward held on 16 June was won by Neil Gordon. Conservative hold.
  • Sunderland: The postponed election in Copt Hill ward held on 16 June was won by sitting councillor Tracy Dodds. Labour hold.
  • Warwick: The byelection in Leamington Clarendon ward held on 16 June was won by Chris King. Labour hold.
  • Wyre Forest: The byelection in Franche and Habberley North ward held on 16 June was won by Ben Brookes. Conservative gain from Independent Community and Health Concern (who did not defend their seat).

  • Basildon: The byelection due in Nethermayne ward will be held on Wednesday 20 July.
  • Lancaster: The byelection due in Harbour ward will be held on 21 July.
  • Luton: The byelection due in Dallow ward will be held on 4 August.
  • North Warwickshire: The byelection due in Hartshill ward will be held on 21 July.
  • South Staffordshire: The byelection due in Penkridge North East and Acton Trussell ward will be held on 21 July.

Other updates

  • Hyndburn: It is noted that after council leader Miles Parkinson left the Labour Party in March, he dismissed the other Labour members of the cabinet and appointed Conservative councillors. The administration is therefore an Independent/Conservative coalition.
