Results
- Bath and North East Somerset: The byelection in Mendip ward held on 3 July was won by Simon McCombe. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Durham: The byelection in Benfieldside division held on 3 July was won by Terry Rooney. Liberal Democrat gain from Reform UK.
- Gedling: The byelection in Calverton ward held on 3 July was won by Andy Meads. Independent gain from Conservative.
- Hammersmith and Fulham: The byelection in Fulham Town ward held on 3 July was won by Liam Downer-Sanderson. Conservative hold.
- North Tyneside: The byelection in Killingworth ward held on 2 July, was won by Brian Smith. Reform UK gain from Labour.
- North Tyneside: The byelection in Longbenton and Benton ward held on 2 July, was won by Bryan Macdonald. Labour hold.
- Nottinghamshire: The byelection in Newark West division held on 3 July was won by Keith Girling, who regains his county council seat. Conservative gain from Reform UK (by eight votes).
- Powys: The byelection in Llanidloes division held on 3 July was won by Fleur Frantz-Morgans. Liberal Democrat hold (by six votes).
- Suffolk: The byelection in Tower division held on 3 July was won by Martin Robinson. Reform UK gain from Conservative.
Defections
- Barnet: Dan Thomas, who was elected for the Conservatives in Finchley Church End ward, has joined Reform UK.
- Barnsley: Clive Pickering, who was elected for the Labour Party in Old Town ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
- Broadland: Grant Nurden, who was elected for the Conservatives in Marshes ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Bury: Four councillors have left the Conservative group and are currently Independents. They are Russell Bernstein (Pilkington Park ward), Jo Lancaster (Radcliffe North and Ainsworth ward), Luis McBriar (Tottington ward) and Dene Vernon (Bury West ward).
- Haringey: The Green Party has formed a joint group with the Independent Socialist Alliance councillors, containing two from each.
- North Ayrshire: Todd Ferguson, who was elected for the Conservatives in North Coast ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Reigate and Banstead: Jenny Orchard and Mark Smith, both of whom were elected for the Labour Party in Redhill West and Wray Common ward and were the council’s only Labour councillors, have formed the Town and Village Independents Group.
- Scottish Borders: Aileen Orr, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in East Berwickshire ward, has been suspended by the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- South Gloucestershire: Ben Nutland, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Yate North ward, has been suspended from the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Southampton: Matthew Bunday, who was elected for Labour in Swaythling ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
New vacancies
- East Hampshire: Alton Amery ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Steve Hunt. Term ends 2027.
- Highland: Tain and Easter Ross ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Derek Louden. Term ends 2027.
- Luton: Stopsley ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor David Wynn. Term ends 2027.
- Newcastle upon Tyne: South Jesmond ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Milo Barnett. Term ends 2028.
- West Suffolk: Newmarket East ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sue Perry. Term ends 2027.

- Cannock Chase: The byelection due in Hednesford Green Heath ward will be held on 7 August.
- Carmarthenshire: The byelection due in Llangennech division will be held on 7 August.
- Durham: The byelection due in Easington and Shotton division will be held on 7 August.
- Newcastle upon Tyne: The byelection due in South Jesmond ward will be held on 14 August.
