Results
- Dacorum: The byelection in Tring West and Rural ward held on 15 February was won by Caroline Smith-Wright. Liberal Democrat hold.
- East Hampshire: The byelection in Four Marks and Medstead ward held on 15 February was won by Roland Richardson. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Kingston-upon-Hull: The byelection in Avenue ward held on 15 February was won by Rhiannon Beeson. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
- Neath Port Talbot: The byelection in Briton Ferry East ward held on 15 February was won by Gareth Rice. Labour gain from an Independent.
- Neath Port Talbot: The byelection in Rhos ward held on 15 February was won by Bob Woolford, who was an Independent candidate. He took a seat previously held by Plaid Cymru.
Changes of allegiance
- Bury: James Mason, who was elected for Radcliffe First in Radcliffe East ward, has left the group to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Devon: Rob Hannaford, who was elected for the Labour Party in Exwick and St Thomas division, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned county councillor.
- Exeter: Rob Hannaford, who was elected for the Labour Party in St Thomas ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Gwynedd: John Pughe, who was elected as an Independent councillor in Morfa Tywyn division, has joined Plaid Cymru.
- Herefordshire: Simeon Cole, who was elected for the Conservatives in Kerne Bridge ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
- Highland: Karl Rosie, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Thurso and Northwest Caithness ward, has left the party and will sit as a non-aligned councillor.
- Hillingdon: Labina Basit, who was elected for the Labour Party in Belmore ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Kirklees: Two councillors elected for the Labour Party have left the party to establish the Kirklees Community Independents group. They are Jo Lawson and Imran Safdar, who both represent Crosland Moor and Netherton ward. Two other councillors have joined the group: Ammar Anwar (Dewsbury West ward) and Ebrahim Dockrat (Batley East ward), who had been suspended from holding office in the Labour Party last November.
- Lancashire: Azhar Ali, who was elected for the Labour Party in Nelson East division, has had the whip suspended and is sitting as an Independent county councillor.
- Sandwell: John Tipper, who was elected for the Labour Party in Cradley Heath and Old Hill ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- South Ribble: Matthew Forshaw, who was elected for the Conservatives in Coupe Green and Gregson Lane ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Thanet: Abi-Leigh Barlow, who was elected for the Conservatives in Thanet Villages ward, has joined the Labour Party.
- Three Rivers: Roger Seabourne, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Penn and Mill End ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.

- Cardiff: Grangetown ward, after the death of Labour councillor Abdul Sattar. Term ends 2027.
- Flintshire: Brynford and Halkyn ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Jean Davies. Term ends 2027.
- Highland: Inverness South ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Colin Aitken. Term ends 2027.
- Pembrokeshire: St Ishmaels division, after the death of Independent councillor Reg Owens. Term ends 2027.
Dates for byelections
- Cambridgeshire: The byelection due in Yaxley and Farcet division will be held on 21 March.
- Flintshire: The byelection due in Brynford and Halkyn ward will be held on 21 March.
- Knowsley: The byelection due in Whitefield ward will be held on 21 March.
