The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Dacorum: The byelection in Tring West and Rural ward held on 15 February was won by Caroline Smith-Wright. Liberal Democrat hold.
  • East Hampshire: The byelection in Four Marks and Medstead ward held on 15 February was won by Roland Richardson. Liberal Democrat hold.
  • Kingston-upon-Hull: The byelection in Avenue ward held on 15 February was won by Rhiannon Beeson. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
  • Neath Port Talbot: The byelection in Briton Ferry East ward held on 15 February was won by Gareth Rice. Labour gain from an Independent.
  • Neath Port Talbot: The byelection in Rhos ward held on 15 February was won by Bob Woolford, who was an Independent candidate. He took a seat previously held by Plaid Cymru.

  • Cardiff: Grangetown ward, after the death of Labour councillor Abdul Sattar. Term ends 2027.
  • Flintshire: Brynford and Halkyn ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Jean Davies. Term ends 2027.
  • Highland: Inverness South ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Colin Aitken. Term ends 2027.
  • Pembrokeshire: St Ishmaels division, after the death of Independent councillor Reg Owens. Term ends 2027.

Dates for byelections

  • Cambridgeshire: The byelection due in Yaxley and Farcet division will be held on 21 March.
  • Flintshire: The byelection due in Brynford and Halkyn ward will be held on 21 March.
  • Knowsley: The byelection due in Whitefield ward will be held on 21 March.
