Independents 21, Gwynedd First 2, Individual member 1. The Labour and Liberal Democrat councillors sit together in a Lib/Lab group. North-west Wales, including Snowdonia; solidly Welsh-speaking, including university town of Bangor. Llais Gwynedd were formed when the Plaid Cymru council proposed school closures in rural areas.

John Pughe (Morfa Tywyn) moved from Plaid Cymru to Individual member in January 2026. Stephen Churchman (Dolbenmaen ward, Liberal Democrat) and Gareth Coj Parry (Labour Party, Hendre) formed Gwynedd First in January 2026.
