Cheshire West and Chester: Mike Baynham, who was elected for the Conservatives in Winsford Over and Verdin ward, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned Independent councillor.
Eastbourne: Two councillors elected for the Liberal Democrats have recently left to sit as Independents. They are Jonathan Dow (Old Town ward) and Steve Wallis (Devonshire ward).
Mid Devon: Two councillors elected for the Conservatives have left the party to sit as ungrouped councillors. They are former council leader Bob Evans (Lower Culm ward) and Andrew Moore (Clare and Shuttern ward) who remains Cabinet member for finance. It is noted that David Pugsley (Cullompton Outer ward) has left the Non Aligned group and is also now ungrouped.
Plymouth: Two councillors have left the Conservative group and have formed an Independent Alliance group together with former Labour councillor Chaz Singh. They are Nick Kelly (Crompton ward) who was suspended from the Conservative group, and Terri Beer (Plympton Erle ward). As a result the Conservatives no longer have an overall majority.

Colchester: Highwoods ward, after the resignation of Highwoods Independent councillor Beverley Oxford. Term ends May next year.

Scarborough: Scalby ward, after the death of non-affiliated councillor Hazel Lynskey, who was elected as a Conservative. As her term would have ended at the end of March, no byelection will be held.
Warrington: Rixton and Woolston ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Josh Dixon. Term ends May next year.
Dates for byelections
Arun: The byelection due in Arundel and Walberton ward will be held on 1 December.
Dumfries and Galloway: The byelection due in Mid Galloway and Wigtown West ward will be held on 8 December.
Sefton: The byelection due in Linacre ward will be held on 24 November.
Warrington: The byelection due in Rixton and Woolston ward will be held on 24 November.
Waverley: The byelection due in Chiddingfold and Dunsfold ward will be held on 1 December.
Other updates
Hastings: The coalition between Labour and the Green Party has been broken as a result of the Labour Party National Executive Committee refusing to authorise it. Labour will continue to run the council as a minority administration.
