Independent 3, Independent Labour 1, UK Independence Party 1. East Norfolk coastal town at the mouth of the River Yare. Fishing industry and tourism are important. There have been discussions about merging the council with Waveney in Suffolk.

Sue Hacon (Bradwell South and Hopton) moved from Conservative to Independent in July 2021. Michael Jeal (Nelson) moved from Labour to Independent Labour in May 2021. At byelections on 6 May, the Conservatives gained Claydon from Labour and Ormesby from an Independent.
