Results
- Derbyshire: The byelection in Long Eaton division held on 27 October was won by Joel Bryan. Labour gain from Conservative.
- Sandwell: The byelection in Wednesbury South ward held on 27 October was won by Jenny Chidley. Labour hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Fenland: Jason Mockett, who was elected for the Conservatives in Lattersey ward, has left the party and will sit as an Independent councillor.
- Maldon: Mark Bassenger, who was elected as an Independent councillor for Althorne ward, has left the Independent group to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
- Pendle: Neil McGowan, who was elected for the Conservatives in Marsden and Southfield ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
New vacancies
- Denbighshire: Rhyl Ty Newydd division, after the death of Labour councillor Brian Blakeley. Term ends 2027.
- Redcar and Cleveland: Normanby ward, after the death of Labour councillor Chris Foley-McCormack. Term ends May next year.

- Brighton and Hove: The byelection due in Wish ward will be held on 8 December.
- King’s Lynn and West Norfolk: The byelection due in Gaywood Clock ward will be held on 1 December.
- Norfolk: The byelection due in Gaywood North and Central division will be held on 1 December.
- North Devon: The byelection due in Landkey ward will be held on 8 December.
- Southampton: The byelection due in Bitterne ward will be held on 1 December.
- Surrey: The byelection due in Sunbury Common and Ashford Common division will be held on Wednesday 30 November.
