Independent Group 12 (including East Cleveland Independent 1), Independent 3. Redcar is based on the chemicals industry; the district includes the seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, as well as Guisborough, Loftus and the Cleveland Hills.

Jack Symon (Wheatlands) moved from Conservative to Restore Britain in March 2026, but returned to the Conservatives in June 2026. The Liberal Democrats gained a seat in Zetland from an Independent elected for Labour, at a byelection on 19 February.
