Independent Group 11 (including East Cleveland Independent 1), Independent 2. Redcar is based on the chemicals industry; the district includes the seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, as well as Guisborough, Loftus and the Cleveland Hills.

The Conservatives gained a seat from Labour at a byelection in Longbeck on 5 September. Tristan Learoyd (St Germain’s) moved from Liberal Democrat to Independent in August 2024.
