Results
- Bolton: The byelection in Rumworth ward held on 15 September was won by Ayyub Patel. Conservative gain from Labour.
- Corporation of London: The election of an Alderman in Bishopsgate ward held on 15 September was won by Kawsar Zaman.
- Corporation of London: The election of a Common Councilman in Cordwainer ward held on 15 September was won by Amy Horscroft.
- Corporation of London: The election of an Alderman in Cripplegate ward held on 15 September was won by Susan Pearson.
- Mansfield: The byelection in Oak Tree ward held on 15 September was won by Paul Henshaw. Labour gain from Mansfield Independent Forum.
- Mid Sussex: The byelection in Bolney ward held on 15 September was won by Kristy Adams. Conservative hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Conwy: David Carr, who was elected for the Labour Party in Colwyn division, has left the party to join the Allied Independents group.
- Hyndburn: Loraine Cox, who was elected for the Labour Party in Church ward but left the party last month, has now joined the Conservative Party.
- King’s Lynn and West Norfolk: Joshua Lowe, who was elected for the Conservatives in Gaywood North Bank ward but left the party last month, has now joined the Labour Party.
- Lancashire: Loraine Cox, who was elected for the Labour Party in Accrington North division but left the party last month, has now joined the Conservative Party.
- Somerset West and Taunton: Chris Morgan, who was elected for the Conservatives in Quantock Vale ward but left the party in April, has now returned.
- South Cambridgeshire: Daniel Lentell, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Over and Willingham ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- South Kesteven: Three Independent councillors have formed an ‘Alliance SK’ group. They are Ashley Baxter and Virginia Moran (both Market and West Deeping ward), and Phil Dilks (Deeping St James ward).
- Stockport: Alanna Vine, who was elected for the Conservatives in Bramhall North ward, has left the party having been expelled over social media posts.
- Test Valley: Martin Hatley, who was elected for the Conservatives in Ampfield and Braishfield ward, has left the party following his conviction for breach of an enforcement notice.
New vacancies
- Bolsover: Pinxton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Stan Fox. Term ends May next year.
- Cannock Chase: Cannock West ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Doug Smith. Term ends 2024.
- Croydon: Selsdon Vale and Forestdale ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Badsha Quadir. Term ends 2026.
- High Peak: Whaley Bridge ward, after the resignations of Labour councillors Kath Thompson and Shannon-Kate Thomson. Term ends May next year.
- Corporation of London: Cripplegate ward, after the elevation of Susan Pearson to Alderman in the election held on 15 September. Term ends 2025.

- Epping Forest: The byelection due in Waltham Abbey South West ward will be held on 13 October.

- St Helens: The byelection due in Moss Bank ward will be held on 20 October.
