The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Falkirk: The byelection in Falkirk South ward held on 14 October was won by Emma Russell. Scottish National Party gain from Labour.
- Harrow: The byelection in Pinner South ward held on 14 October was won by Hitesh Karia. Conservative hold.
- Surrey Heath: The byelection in Frimley Green ward held on 14 October was won by Stuart Black. Conservative gain from Liberal Democrat; as a result the Conservatives have regained an overall majority on the council.
- Wigan: The byelection in Leigh West ward held on 14 October was won by Samantha Brown. Labour hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Amber Valley: Neil Ploughman, who was elected as a Labour Party candidate in Belper Central ward, has left the party and is sitting as a Socialist on the council.
- Camden: Lorna Russell, who was elected for the Labour Party in Fortune Green ward, has joined the Green Party.
- East Hampshire: The two Labour councillors have both left the party and are sitting as non-aligned councillors. They are Stephen Dolan (Alton Wooteys ward), and Paula Langley (Alton Eastbrooke ward).
New vacancies
- Breckland: Hermitage ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Trevor Carter. Term ends 2023.
- Lancaster: Upper Lune Valley ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Stewart Scothern. Term ends 2023.
- Manchester: Chorlton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Matt Strong. Term ends 2023.
- Medway: Rochester East ward, after the death of Labour councillor Nick Bowler. Term ends 2023.
- Nuneaton and Bedworth: Bar Pool ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Patricia Elliott. Term ends May next year.
- Wyre Forest: Franche and Habberley North ward, after the resignation of Independent Community and Health Concern councillor Susie Griffiths. Term ends 2023.

- Liverpool: The byelection due in Anfield ward will be held on 18 November.
