The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Dudley: The byelection in Cradley and Wollescote ward held on 3 August was won by Ryan Priest. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
- East Sussex: The byelection in Meads division held on 3 August was won by Brett Wright. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative; as a result the Conservatives no longer have an overall majority on the council.
- Norfolk: The byelection in Freebridge Lynn division held on 3 August was won by John Crofts. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
- Reading: The byelection in Norcot ward held on 3 August was won by Finn McGoldrick. Labour hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Falkirk: Laura Murtagh, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Lincolnshire: Alison Austin (Boston South division), who had been sitting as a non-aligned Independent councillor, has joined the South Holland Independents Group.
- Nottinghamshire: Steve Carr, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Bramcote and Beeston North division, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Tamworth: Janice Wadrup, who was elected for the Labour Party in Glascote ward, has left the party group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
- Thanet: Alan Munns, who was elected as an Independent in Kingsgate ward, has aligned with the Green Party group; the group is now known as the Green and Independent group.
- Walsall: Suky Samra, who was elected for the Conservatives in Streetly ward, has been suspended from the party and is sitting as a non-aligned councillor.
New vacancies
- Lincolnshire: Carholme division, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Rob Parker. Term ends 2025.
- Liverpool: Fazakerley East ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Frazer Lake. Term ends 2027.
- Milton Keynes: Newport Pagnell South ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Scot Balazs. Term ends May next year.
- South Norfolk: South Wymondham ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Julian Halls. Term ends 2027.

- Manchester: The byelection due in Brooklands ward will be held on 7 September.

- Shropshire: The byelection due in Worfield division will be held on 7 September.
