The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Bath and North East Somerset: The election in Paulton ward, postponed from 4 May to 22 June was won by Liz Hardman and Grant Johnson. Both were sitting councillors; Labour hold two seats.
  • Southampton: The election in Coxford ward, postponed from 4 May to 22 June, was won by Rebecca McCreanor, Matt Renyard and Beccy Ruddick. All three are Labour; Labour held two seats and gained one from the Conservatives.
  • Stockton-on-Tees: The election in Hartburn ward, postponed from 4 May to 22 June, was won by Lynn Hall, Niall Innes and Jason French. The Conservatives held all three seats.
  • West Devon: The byelection in Tavistock North ward held on 22 June was won by Ursula Mann, who stood as an Independent candidate. She tied with Liberal Democrat candidate Holly Greenbury-Pullen in votes and won the Returning Officer’s casting vote on drawing of lots. Independent gain from Green Party.
  • West Lancashire: The election in Rural South ward, postponed from 4 May to 22 June, was won by Ian Rigby, Linda Webster, and Thomas Marsh-Pritchard. All three are from the Our West Lancashire localist group.
  • Wyre: The election in Warren ward, postponed from 4 May to 22 June, was won by Maureen Blair and Brian Stephenson. Labour held one seat and gained one from the Wyre Alliance (the previous councillor having been elected for the UK Independence Party).

New vacancies

  • Derbyshire: Swadlincote division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Roger Redfern. Term ends 2025.
  • Middlesbrough: Ayresome ward, after the impending resignation of Labour councillor Antony High. Term ends 2027.
  • Norfolk: Freebridge Lynn division, after the death of Conservative councillor Nick Daubney. Term ends 2025.

Dates for byelections

  • Buckinghamshire: The byelection due in Denham division will be held on 27 July.
  • East Sussex: The byelection due in Heathfield and Mayfield division will be held on 27 July.
  • Warrington: The byelection due in Poulton North ward will be held on 27 July.
