The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Result

  • Swansea: The byelection in Penderry ward held on 27 April was won by Mair Baker. Labour hold.

Changes of allegiance

  • Aberdeenshire: George Hall, who was elected for the Conservatives in Peterhead South and Cruden ward, has left the party and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
  • Bexley: Felix Di Netimah, who was elected for the Conservatives in Crayford ward, has left the group and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
  • Cambridgeshire: Josh Schumann, who was elected for the Conservatives in Burwell division, has left the party to sit as a non-aligned Independent councillor. He is an Independent candidate for East Cambridgeshire district council.
  • Kensington and Chelsea: Emma Dent Coad, who was elected for the Labour Party in St Helens ward, and was Labour group leader, has left the party and is now an Independent councillor.
  • Rushcliffe: Maureen Stockwood, who was elected for the Conservatives in Cranmer ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
  • Solihull: Daniel Gibbin, who was elected for the Conservatives in Olton ward, has been suspended from the party whip and is sitting as an Independent councillor.
  • Three Rivers: Two councillors have left their parties to sit as Independent councillors. Stephanie Singer was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Durrants ward, while Lisa Hudson was elected for the Conservatives in Rickmansworth Town ward.
  • West Suffolk: Two councillors have left the Conservative group. Peter Thompson (Moreton Hall ward) is now sitting as a non-grouped Independent, while Jim Thorndyke (Stanton ward) has joined the Independent Group.

New vacancies

  • Cheshire East: Dane Valley ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Les Gilbert. His term was due to end next month.
  • Maidstone: North ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Robert Eves. His term would have ended next month.
  • North East Derbyshire: Dronfield South ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Alan Powell. His term was due to end in May.
  • North East Derbyshire: North Wingfield Central ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Jeff Lilley. His term would have ended next month.
  • Teignbridge: Ashburton and Buckfastleigh ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Sarah Khan. Her term was due to end next month.
  • Teignbridge: Teignmouth Central ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Jacqui Orme. Her term would have ended next month.
  • Wyre: Pharos ward, after the resignation of Wyre Alliance councillor Collette Fairbanks, who was elected for the UK Independence Party. Her term was due to end in May.

Date for byelection

  • Wiltshire: The byelection due in Tisbury division will be held on 8 June.

Other updates

  • Stockton-on-Tees: The election due on 4 May in Hartburn ward has been postponed following the death of Reform UK candidate Mike Elliott.
  • Surrey Heath: The election due on 4 May in Frimley Green ward has been postponed following the death of Conservative candidate Karen Campion.
  • Wyre: The election due on 4 May in Warren ward has been postponed following the death of Independent candidate Brian Crawford.
