Enfield: Two councillors who have recently left the Labour Party, Dinah Barry (Winchmore Hill ward) and Derek Levy (Southgate ward), have set up the Community First group. They have been joined by Daniel Anderson (Southgate Green ward) and Dino Lemonides (Chase ward), who were also elected for the Labour Party.
North Tyneside: Chirton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Margaret Reynolds. Term ends 2022.
St Helens: Windle ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Gill Neal who was elected for the Labour Party but left the party in October 2019. Her term was extended to May next year so she will not be replaced in a byelection.
Sandwell: Old Warley ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Steve Trow. Term ends 2022.
Solihull: Elmdon ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Peter Davies. Term ends 2023.
Warwickshire: Feldon division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Bob Stevens. His term would have ended next May so no byelection will be held.
