Rushmoor

Independent 2. Compact district in north-east Hampshire, neutrally named as between Aldershot and Farnborough. A major army base with the aviation industry around Farnborough airfield.

The government proposes to merge the council with Basingstoke and Deane, and Rushmoor, to create a new unitary North Hampshire council in 2027. Wellington has a byelection on 16 July (held by Labour). Becky Williams (Manor Park) moved from Independent to Labour in June 2026.
