Results
- Blaby: The byelection in Glen Parva ward held on 21 December was won by Ande Savage. Liberal Democrat hold.
- Isle of Wight: The byelection in Ventnor and St Lawrence held on 21 December was won by Ed Blake. Conservative hold.
- Leicestershire: The byelection in Blaby and Glen Parva division held on 21 December was won by Sue Jordan. Liberal Democrat hold.
Changes of allegiance
- Cornwall: Steve Arthur, who was elected for the Conservatives in Perranporth division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- Hastings: A further two Labour councillors have joined the Hastings Independent group which the cabinet formed last week. The new recruits are Nigel Sinden (Silverhill ward) and Mike Turner (Baird ward).
- Pendle: Mohammed Iqbal, who was elected for the Labour Party in Bradley ward but was suspended, has now returned.
- Surrey: Riasat Khan, who was elected for the Conservatives in Woking North division, has been suspended from the party over a social media post.
New vacancies
- Lancaster: Carnforth and Millhead ward, after the death of Labour councillor Paul Gardner. Term ends 2027.
- Stroud: Nailsworth ward, after the death of Green Party councillor Norman Kay. As his term would have ended next May, there will be no byelection.
