Independent 11, ungrouped 1. Based around Ebbw Vale, also including Tredegar. Coal and steel industries wound down in the 1980s but manufacturing remains. An iconically Labour area (Nye Bevan's home town), but was lost to mostly ex-Labour independents in 2008.
Sonia Behr (Nantyglo) moved from Labour to Green Party in December 2025. Helen Cunningham (Llanhilleth) moved from Labour to ungrouped in December 2025. Jonathan Millard (Ebbw Vale South) moved from Independent to Reform UK in December 2025.
