Independent 23 (the Plaid Cymru councillor sits in this group), Minority Independent Group 4, Save Us Now 1. Based around Ebbw Vale, also including Tredegar. An iconically Labour area (Nye Bevan's home town), but was lost to mostly ex-Labour independents in 2008.
Four councillors moved from the Independent Group to the Minority Independent Group in November 2020. Mark Holland (Six Bells) moved from Independent to non-aligned in October 2020.
