Postponed polls

Other news

  • Tower Hamlets: Following the election court judgment, the Secretary of State has appointed two new Commissioners and is considering further directions which would allow the commissioners full power to direct the council. Meanwhile Oliur Rahman has stepped down as acting Mayor (due to conflict with his civil service job) and been replaced by Rabina Khan, who will also be a candidate for the full time role in the 11 June byelection.
