The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Result

  • Eilean Siar: The byelection in Beinn na Foghla agus Uibhist a Tuath (English: Benbecula and Uist North) ward on 26 March was won by Andrew Walker. Independent gain from Labour (who did not have a candidate to defend the seat).
  • Fife: The byelection in Glenrothes West and Kinglassie ward on 26 March was won by Craig Walker. Scottish National Party gain from Labour.
  • Moray: The byelection in Buckie ward on 26 March was won by Sonya Warren. Scottish National Party gain from Independent.
  • Vale of Glamorgan: The byelection in Llantwit Major division on 26 March was won by Tony Bennett, who had a majority of 12 votes. Conservative gain from Llantwit First Independent.
  • West Lothian: The byelection in Armadale and Blackridge ward on 26 March was won by Sarah King. Scottish National Party hold.

  • Bromsgrove: Stoke Prior ward, after the death of Conservative councillor and former chairman John Tidmarsh. As his term was due to end in May, there will be no byelection.
  • Cambridgeshire: Whittlesey North division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor and former council leader Martin Curtis. Term ends 2017.
  • Camden: Hampstead Town ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Simon Marcus in order to concentrate on his Parliamentary candidacy in Hampstead and Kilburn. Term ends 2018.
  • Cornwall: Camborne Treswithian division, after the resignation of UK Independence Party councillor Viv Lewis. Term ends 2017.
  • Cornwall: Constantine, Mawnan and Budock division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Neil Hatton. Term ends 2017.
  • Craven: Barden Fell ward, after the resignation of Conservative former council leader Chris Knowles-Fitton. Term ends 2016.
  • Craven: Settle and Ribblebanks ward, after the death of Conservative councillor and former chairman Donny Whaites. Term ends 2016.
  • Harlow: Great Parndon ward, after the resignation of UK Independence Party councillor Terry Spooner, who has moved out of the district. Term ends 2018.
  • Kingston-upon-Thames: Grove ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Stephen Brister. Term ends 2018.
  • Kingston-upon-Thames: Tolworth and Hook Rise ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Vicki Harris. Term ends 2018.
  • Kirklees: Greenhead ward, after the resignation of former Labour council leader Mehboob Khan. Term ends 2016.
  • North East Lincolnshire: East Marsh ward, after the resignation of Jon-Paul Howarth who was elected for Labour but had been sitting as an Independent. Term ends 2016.
  • Redditch: West ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Michael Braley, who was originally elected as a Conservative. Term ends 2016.
  • Rossendale: Irwell ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Helen Jackson. Term ends 2018.
  • Rossendale: Whitewell ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Karen Creaser. Term ends 2016.
  • Southend-on-Sea: West Shoebury ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Liz Day. Term ends 2016.

  • Cambridgeshire: The byelection due in Whittlesey North division will be held on 7 May.
  • Camden: The byelection due in Hampstead Town ward will be held on 7 May.
  • Cherwell: The byelection due in Caversfield ward will be held on 7 May. The council has elections to one third of seats on this day but this ward would not otherwise have been among them.
  • Cornwall: The byelections due in Camborne Treswithian divisionand Constantine, Mawnan and Budock division will both be held on 7 May.
  • Craven: The byelections due in Barden Fell, Settle and Ribblebanks, and Upper Wharfedale wards, will all be held on 7 May. The council has elections to one third of seats on this day but these three wards would not otherwise have been among them.
  • Flintshire: The byelection due in Caergwrle division will be held on 7 May.
  • Greenwich: The byelection due in Greenwich West ward will be held on 7 May.
  • Kensington and Chelsea: The byelection due in Stanley ward will be held on 7 May.
  • Kingston-upon-Thames: The byelections due Grove ward and in Tolworth and Hook Rise ward will both be held on 7 May.
  • Maidstone: The byelection due in Park Wood ward will be held on 7 May. The council has elections to one third of seats on this day but this ward would not otherwise have been among them.
  • Mole Valley: There will be a double vacancy election in Holmwoods ward on 7 May in order to fill the vacancy there.
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme: The byelection due in Clayton ward will be held on 7 May. The council has elections to one third of seats on this day but this ward would not otherwise have been among them.
  • North East Lincolnshire: There will be a double vacancy election in East Marsh ward on 7 May in order to fill the vacancy there.
  • Redditch: There will be a double vacancy election in West ward on 7 May to fill the vacancy there.
  • St Helens: There will be a double vacancy election in Haydock ward on 7 May to fill the vacancy there.
